Brush your teeth before your appointment and avoid eating or drinking anything that could stain — coffee, tea, red wine — for at least one hour prior. Arrive with clean teeth and no lip product. That is all the preparation required.

For the first 48 hours after treatment, avoid dark-coloured foods and drinks including coffee, tea, red wine, tomato-based sauces, and berries. Also avoid smoking during this period. Your enamel is most porous immediately after whitening and most susceptible to restaining. Following these guidelines will protect and prolong your result.
